Internship Opportunities

Engage.Experience.Empower.

Internship opportunities are made available every March/April. Feel free to read about our programs and check back in the spring for application deadlines and details.

We have two internship tracks geared toward people desiring hands on experience in a church ministry setting. No filling coffee cups or filing papers, these internships will allow you the opportunity to be an integral part of the Flood Staff! One track is part-time and reserved for college students, the other is full-time and aimed at people who would like to pursue (or are pursuing) full time ministry, including a seminary education. For all the details regarding the Flood Internship Program read the Q & A below. Applications can be downloaded on this page as well. If you have any questions feel free to contact the Intern Coordinator, Adam Klekowski at 858.268.2330 ex.307 or AdamK@DIVEintoFLOOD.com

Why does the Flood Internship Program exist?

The Flood Internship Program was created for two reasons. First, we are a church committed to training, equipping and empowering men and women to be effective leaders in the Church. We desire for this program to prepare you for whatever God has in store for you and your ministry to Him. Specifically, at the end of your intern commitment, we would love to see you involved in a Flood Church plant somewhere in the world or continue serving God through our church here in San Diego. Secondly, we are a rapidly growing church facing unique ministry challenges. We need capable, competent and committed men and women who can join the staff and serve the needs of the Flood body. Whether you have a passion for children, youth, college students, young adults, or families there is certainly a place for you to lead and serve at Flood!

What are the details of the Flood Internship Program?

Currently, we offer two Internship Programs. Each program has limited availability and begins in the fall of each academic year.

Undergraduate Internship
College can be an exciting and challenging time. The experiences are rich and life changing, and the decisions that you make will certainly impact your future for a lifetime. This program is specifically designed to help you become an effective minister within your community, including the church. While pursuing your education, you will be a part-time staff member at Flood. Though your job description at Flood will be vast and varied, the goal of the program is to help prepare you for whatever will come after college. You will be placed in an area of ministry of your choosing and be matched with a Staff member for the year who will serve as your mentor and supervisor. Though this Internship is unpaid, we will gladly assist you in raising financial support to help cover any necessary expenses or provide you with some extra spending cash.

Graduate Internship
As one gets older, life seems to get more complicated. What do you want to do with your life? Where should you start your career? What type of legacy do you want to leave on this earth? This program is specifically designed for people seeking to go into full time ministry at a church. Not only will you be an integral part of the leadership staff at Flood, but you will also be gaining the necessary experience and skills to help prepare you to be a successful minister in today's changing world.
