Comprehensive Training Systems, City College, Mesa College, & Southwestern College have joined forces to form The Allied Healthcare Pathways to Careers

SAN DIEGO, CA – As a part of the Allied Healthcare Career Pathway Partnership, Comprehensive Training Systems (CTS) was recently awarded a grant through the Workforce Funders Collaborative. This grant was awarded to lead and develop career advancement opportunities in the medical field for dislocated workers and low-income young adults. CTS partnered with local colleges to establish and identify new practices in the healthcare industry.

The mission of Allied Healthcare Pathways to Careers is: assist dislocated workers and low-income young adults in receiving an education, training, and career awareness to gain employment in the medical field.   The program will assist participants with career exploration, paid externship, job placement, and on-the-job training.

CTS is a non-profit community-based organization serving San Diego’s employment and training needs for 25 years. Located in two strategic areas in the county, Central, and South San Diego, CTS has successfully placed more than 6,000 candidates in employed positions through collaborations with various agencies.

Candidates must be individuals who have been terminated/laid off from their previous job within the last 12 months and low-income young adults between the ages of 18-21.  Eligibility for young adults is determined by their household income.
