Soul Food Impact Team – Food Collection 8/1

THIS SUNDAY (August 1st) is our next collection day to bring food for our Kearny families! If you’d like to be involved in this process but did not sign up for a specific item, please feel free to bring NONPERISHABLE food items to whichever service you normally attend. The food bins will be at the Welcome Tent — just place it in whichever one looks least full!

We also need help delivering food to our families this Sunday. We meet at the Welcome Tent at 12:30pm and it takes about 1 hour. Email us if you’re interested!

Join us this Sunday August 1, 2010 at 4:30pm to learn more about Campus Crusade’s marketplace ministry in the heart of London where Jon and Kathy Horne are missionaries. You will learn more about how you can pray for them as they continue to share what God is doing in the lives of young adults in one of the most strategic, post-Christian cities in the world.
Kathy Horne is currently visiting the U.S. to raise financial support and help teach others about the needs of London. There’s no obligation to give. Just come and eat some free food, have a refreshing drink and listen as Kathy teaches us more about Campus Crusade’s marketplace ministry in the heart of London.

Spanish Interpreter Needed for CityFest

Skills Required: Familiar with/or previous experience as with simultaneous interpretation; Familiar with or/used to simultaneous interpreting equipment (wireless equipment will be provided for interpreters).

Believe it or not, summer’s not the only time you can go to Africa! Team’s can be sent to Malawi & Uganda year-round if we have the leaders to make it happen.

CAPS 4th Annual Golf ‘Fore’ Life Tournament!

CAPS (College Area Pregnancy Services) is hosting their 4th annual golf tournament on Monday, August 23rd!

Help CAPS raise money to meet the needs of those facing unintended pregnancies in the college area and new Pacific Beach location.

Sign up as an individual or a foursome, player participation includes dinner, gift bag, tournament contexts, t-shirt, a shot and winning hole-in one prizes, and a chance to win a 2-year lease on a 2011 Ford Fiesta.

Register by August 11th for the tournament on August 23rd, tee off at 1:00pm, at the Riverwalk Golf Course in Fashion Valley.

SD RESCUE MISSION: Christmas in the Summer
The San Diego Rescue Mission serves the needs of the poor, addicted, abused and homeless; their annual Christmas in July program accepts material donations of toiletries, clothing, office supplies and more.
