Hi my name is Jillian Rae! I am a avid member of Flood and very active in my relationship with God.  I have been a hairstylist for 4years now, and although I absolutely love what i do I am honestly getting burned out by the business side of things.  As we all have ben effected in some way or another by the economy, the hair stylist business has been very difficult as well.

I am a booth rent stylist and have been my whole career.  I wouldn’t do it any-other way. I am in a great salon in La Jolla, I love the owner and the people I work with but $200 a week and increased to $300 in sept, it has got my stomach in knots.  I need to find a salon that will do part-time booth rent for me, preferably thurs fri and sat for now while I build. I have heard that there are a few Hairstylists that attend Flood, so hopefully you all may have a contact or two.

I do hair because I love the artistic ability it alows me to have. I get to create meaningful reltionships with my clients and I love that. I do not take beauty too seriously, and I am not interested in any salon that values vanity and participates in gossip.

The part time job I am looking for would be for monday, tuesday, and wednesday, I have only worked in salons and restaurants while attending college.  I worked very hard at building my own hairstylist business for the last 4years. I would love the opportunity to get into another market and build my experience. Things I would be interested in is Real Estate, Hotels, Event planning or any wedding planning  help needed.

I would love to hear back from anyone with ideas or part time job opportunities or part time booth rent availabilities.

Hello!! I am currently living in a townhouse in Point Loma with some friends, but a couple of my roommates are moving out (around June 12th) and we’re looking for a couple friendly faces to move in! We have a fireplace, an electric stove and oven, 2 1/2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, dishwasher, washer and dryer (in the garage) and 2 floors. The neighborhood is patrolled by a watchman both daily and nightly, and our community has a pool and jacuzzi for us to go to!! We are about 2 miles from the beach also, which is, of course, amazing! I am 23 and my other roommate is 22. We are clean girls; we both enjoy going out and being social on the weekends, but we don’t throw parties at our house!! (Not to say that we don’t LOVE having people over!) We are low drama, but high energy! We don’t have any big pets – just a bunny and a hamster. Our master bedroom is available for share and is 17.5 feet by 12 feet, and it has a HUGE walk-in closet! We are looking for a couple responsible roomies who will keep the place clean and pay rent on time, but also a friend who will be down to get out of the house and enjoy San Diego – so early 20’s would probably be the ideal age range! We are looking to sign a year lease as of mid-June. Here’s a few more details that may answer some of your questions:

-Utilities usually average to about $30 a person per month (We only pay SDGE because trash and water are paid for)

-We don’t have cable, but we have basic TV (If you want cable, you can add it if you are willing to pay the difference)

- We have wireless internet and it costs about $16 a month

-The security deposit is a month of rent (We will split this 4 ways)

-There are 2 parking spots in the garage and the other 2 can park in open spots within the neighborhood
