Wednesday Beans and Rice Prayer Requests

Hey guys,

It’s Wednesday. May you take this time to listen and draw near to our Lord in prayer no matter what time during the day it is. Today, our prayers will be for the Tijuana Orphanage and Tijuana House Building Impact Teams. Here are some more specific requests:

TJ Orphanage: El Faro Orphanage

  • *Protection of Flood volunteers as they travel into Tijuana
  • *An end to the gang violence that is raging at border crossings
  • *Good health and safety for the kids and staff at El Faro
  • *Continued funds from supporting organizations to help pay for food, electricity, medical bills, and schooling supplies
  • *Flood volunteers and the kids to develop meaningful relationships, even with the language barrier
  • *God to move and speak into the kids’ lives and give them hope for the future
  • *The older kids to stay in high school and do well– Christian, Juan, Moises, Lorena and Ruben
  • *Jennifer to grow, learn, and be watched over (This is a handicapped girl at the orphanage we support who is partially blind and deaf and usually has no supervision)

TJ House Building

  • *Pray for the health of those without adequate shelter.
  • *Pray for the warmth and protection of those exposed to the elements.
  • *Pray to sustain their hope that things can change.
  • *Pray for those looking for work.
  • *Pray to bless the work of many that are working countless hours in exhausting jobs.
  • *Pray for support for the fractured families.
  • *Pray for the safety of those living in the midst of increased violence.
  • *Pray that Amor’s field agents and administration would have energy and life.
  • *Pray for Amor’s perseverance as they are affected by the violence and the economy.
  • *Pray for the safety of Amor’s field agents working in Tijuana.

Here is a passage from scripture to help inspire your prayers.

“He will judge the world with justice
and rule the nations with fairness.
The LORD is a shelter for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you.”
  –Psalm 9:8-10
